I proudly hung my finisher's medal on my mirror in my bedroom, just so I can remind myself of what I accomplished...
So I ran on a Sunday, and Kendrick had sent me a slew of texts that afternoon that culminated with the (what I thought humorous) one that read, "Congrats, take the rest of the day off, tomorrow, you're back in the pool"
Right... back in the pool... Eat it...
Ok, I ate it... I was back in the pool on Wednesday...
And much like I had a breakthrough with running, I had a breakthrough on that first swim...
IT WAS SO MUCH EASIER! Having built up my stamina and endurance, I didn't tire out so quickly in the pool... Riding got easier too... EVERYTHING just got easier-having lost so much weight (was officially PASSED my "skinny pants" and back into college pants) and having built up my aerobic base, things started to come easier for me when it came to workouts...
So we dovetailed Run training directly into Tri training... which wasn't easy, and which we've had to scale back quite a bit... It's easier, which make it more fun and make me push hard(er) when I need to...
