Figured I'd write something quickly in hopes of knocking the dust off of the blog... It's been well over a month since my last entry and lemme tell you what, I've enjoyed it...
In a nutshell, here's how the last month went:
-Finished school (and the 4.0 streak continues)
-Spent a night rebuilding my bike with Kendrick- all new cables, housing, and base bar
-Loafed around Lafayette for 3 weeks and loved it
-Did my first double digit run since February, and sorta loved it... 11.75 miles
-Got some new toys for the bike (mainly a mount for my Garmin, and more recently, new tires)
-While at home, I may have missed one workout, maybe two... A+ for consistency
-Dreaded coming back to school for my last semester of coursework
In more exciting news, this week has been a recover week, which means one thing: swim tests, bike TT, and run TT's... I guess it's the drop in intensity of recovery weeks, but this one in particular has made me pretty lazy... maybe it's the whole process of getting back into the swing of things with school, or maybe I'm not eating enough, or sleeping enough, but this week, I've just been dog tired...
But you wouldn't know it from my TT's
PR'd my 5k TT at 25:12, as well as my 1 mile time at 7:44... Felt like dogshit after, but I'm getting faster, so that's good... old PR was 27:26
Swim test today was another PR, 1000 yds @ 16:47... old PR was 17:19... Kendrick says I can swim faster, and he's probably right... I'll go all out next time...
Aside from that, I haven't been able to do my Bike TT this week, partially because it's been miserably cold and partially because I've been tired and partially because I've had problems putting on the new tires on my bike.... and mostly because I'm making excuses!
Back to it...
